My 2007 Suburban is a 5.3, 4WD. I am just over 143,000 miles, and I have never seen a vehicle as sensitive as this one is to having a clean MAF. Code/Scan data does not seem to change, but making sure it is spotlessly clean will change mileage 2 to 4 mpg.
