I've done the exact job you're up against. Lift the cab. It'll give you a lot more room. I removed all but the rear cab bolts and held it up with 4X4 and 2X4 blocks. It's been a while and I can't remember if I needed to disconnect the steering or not. Play it ... Login to read more.
