This may not apply on this vehicle, but My techs have taken a serious butt whooping trying to fix an exhaust leak when the sound was normal under the hood, (hearing EGR port pulses with a stethoscope can be misleading.) problem could lie in a bulkhead grommet ... Login to read more.
