I have seen this before and you were correct (I hope) from the beginning, the 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, blank pulse is correct for that sensor, the other sensor should not overlap but it appears that the 3 pulse signal is overlapping. Pull the tranny, pull the flexplate... Login to read more.
