The EGR system controls combustion temperatures to keep them below roughly 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit. When the system is plugged the EGR valve will remain closed and eventually "freeze up" and will need to be replaced. If she burns cheaper gas the lower octane ... Login to read more. ![]()
