Funny, I just asked Paddy the same question. The ones I 'vaguely' remember from 100 years ago were the pre-obd2 carb'ed vehicles (IIRC) they would stay in open loop if the CEL bulb was blown or removed. Too many cars and years ago to be specific. Man I'm getti... Login to read more.
