Hey David. Here's a method I've used in the past to see if it's a rod bearing or piston slap. Pull the plug and use a long 1/4" blunt tipped rod. Insert it in the plug hole, and angle it to the rear side of the engine. Bump the end with the heel of your hand. ... Login to read more. ![]()
