The fastest way to find out if a vehicle is CAN is to look at the OBDII connector see what pins are populated. If pins 6 and 14 are BOTH populated, chances are the vehicle is CAN after about the 2004 model year. Ford 6.0L's did have CAN from model year... Login to read more.
