Ford (wix I think) shorted the oil filter of the FL820 about 3 or 4 years ago. They shorted it by about a 1/2 inch. They claim it is to make it easier to install and remove... though I'm not buying that. They had since '91 to do that... old Lincoln Mark VIII's... Login to read more.
