BMW 520i 24v - Coils or ECM?

Hi guys,

The problem vehicle is a 1992 BMW 520i 24v.

Engine Code: 20 6S 2.

It has NO Cat or O2s.

Siemens MS40.1 Management system.

This car has a VERY intermittant missfire. It does not stay with any particular coil.
