I would suggest that the intake could be a possible area to consider. Where a 'foreign' part has been incorporated, misfit can occur.

Is the manifold a Ford part? If it is, it is most likely from a 312c.i. engine, like from a 1957? Direct fit to a 292? Maybe... Login to read more.
