18 KV at idle is definitely too high. This should read 10 - 12 KV max. Worn spark plugs radiate a lot of garbage in a current probe in the vicinity. Try holding the probe in the same area not on the wire but next to it with the clamp closed. Now you know what ... Login to read more.
