Have you tried the 3 minute sulphation test?...It works great for finding sulphated batteries but will find shorted batteries too. Hook up a charger and amp clamp and charge at 40 amps for 3 minutes. Battery voltage shouldn't go above 15.5v on lead acid batter... Login to read more.
