the cherokee (assuming you don't mean grand cherokee) uses the aw-4 auto trans, and the wrangler, when equipped with auto trans, uses a 904 or 999 torqueflite. you would be better off using a torqueflite with the 6 cyl. from the cherokee. Login to read more.
