Nissan guys .. timing belt / bent valves etc your thoughts ?

Hey guys,

My cousin has an 03 Xterra. Got back from a 1000 mile trip last week. Next morning went out to go somewhere and the car would not start. Towed to dealer, they say the timing belt is done and he needs an engine.
