Great post as always, I would have to say most techs overlook the base engine as a source of a misfire, 90% of the time. I had a couple 5.4 ford in here, one had 8 new coils and plugs, another shop, and still had a misfire on 2 cylinders, called it DOA Cam iss... Login to read more.
