It is the coil ground, and yes, they all needed it. Perhaps GM got a bit sloppy back in the '70s and '80s? Remember, the ignition module was directly connected to the same connector, and that ignition was perfectly capable of creating it's own ground :-) I'd o... Login to read more. ![]()
