patrick-it sounds like the timing chain has jumped a coupla teeth on the d/s head. it will go 4 teeth and not bend valves. very common on a mb v8. how many miles? had a chain already? i'd pull both covers, look at the underside of the d/s cover. is it grooved,... Login to read more.
