Water is about the only thing that'll clean up sugar. A good steam cleaning will get it off the piston tops, but it'll be in the rings as well. I have tested for stuck rings by using duct tape sealed tightly over the cylinder holes, then, with a quick 1/4 turn... Login to read more.
