Re: What does this current spike mean?
There are two coils in the solenoid, A PULL-IN coil which is earthed thrugh the starter motor brushes and armature. This is a low resistance winding which allows a large current to flow through the winding to initially pull in the solenoid (hence pull-in coil)... Login to read more. ![]()
