If it was a CAT failure, you must have the CAT monitor passed. With all other failures, it does not matter if that particular monitor is run or not. You are allowed 2 unset monitors for 2000 and earlier vehicles, and 1 unset monitor for 2001 and later vehicles... Login to read more.
