I ran into a similar problem a few weeks ago on a jeep. There is a tsb on sticking valves that I found. I did do a fuel system clean made by Valvoline on it. The car smoked a lot when I was doing it indicating it was loseneing up the carbon and burning it off.... Login to read more.
