If you need to "patch" a larger area, I have used that cloth used with fiberglass patch kits, along with epoxy/jb weld. Also another epoxy tip- if you can hook up an ac vacuum pump to the housing you are epoxying and can get some sort of vacuum into the housin... Login to read more.
