Re: handling stripped oil drain plugs
The BMW pan plug is an M12 thread. You can either go to an
M14 and use a Mercedes pan plug or helicoil the existing
hole and keep it M12. There is sufficient meat for either
approach. Of course, the "best" fix is to replace the pan. ![]()
