I had a very similar situation on one of these vehicles. I pulled the timing cover first and didn't find anything. Next I pulled the oil pan. The connecting rod bent on cyl. 1 and the piston skirt was hitting the crankshaft. I replaced the rod and piston. Ther... Login to read more. ![]()
