Ken, if the ring and pinion gears have pits from rust in them, you can pretty much bet the pinion bearings have them also. That could cause a click, but a roar would be more like it. Also, if the gear lash isn't adjusted right, the heel or the toe of the gears... Login to read more. ![]()
