Weird, I've never seen that either. Then I hav'nt had much to do with some of the heavier trucks and the 7.4. Any "weird" stuff you encounter might be due to the fact that trucks greater than 8600GVW ( HD3/4 ton, 1 ton) are NOT technically OBDII.
