For a 2002 Subaru 2.5, the spec is 5w30. I would use the 5w30 Mobil 1 or Pennzoil synthetic. Both are excellent oils. If the oil temps hit 265 and stay there, that's higher than I like it. I'd install a large engine oil cooler, a liquid to air model. You shou... Login to read more.
