I think I'd go back to the basics. Isolate systems 1 at a time. You've got the hard part beat .. being able to duplicate the problem. I'm not a benz guy but the first thing I would do is ditch the serpentine belt. Have had volvos with the sprag clutch failing ... Login to read more.
