Re: Misfire/Running Compression Test
The running compression (at normal idle) should be ~1/2 of
cranking compression. Somewhere 65 to 85 is typical. I use
the tester with the schrader valve in place. After starting
the engine, burp the gauge. It'll pump up to a stable
pressure in a few puffs. ![]()
