I had a couple old pontiacs 400 and 455. The best results I had is using "Poly locks" they are aftermarket and have a hex nut with an allen set screw in the middle of the nut...adjust appox 1/4 past zero lash and tighten down the jam nut and you are good to go... Login to read more.
