Since the VIN plate is usually riveted to the dashboard is it possible that the "dashectomy" was actually a transplant from another vehicle (say, an '03 model) and the VIN from that vehicle got transpanted too. Does the VIN in the door match? Or maybe the PCM ... Login to read more.
