Bill, A flikering oil light is never normal. The oil pressure should be 60 PSI minimum ar 1850 RPM. This thing has a gearotor pump mounted in timing cover. Might want to find cause of low pressure, ie. restricted pick-up, air injestion into suction side of pum... Login to read more.
