Hi, I've used a length of heavy flat bar with a hole in the middle, I then use a piece of threaded rod bent as a hook and placed in the hole in the the spring. The ends of the flat bar will 'lift' the ends of the spring up as you tighten the nut on the threade... Login to read more.
