Re: P0340 code set on 1997 Ford Ranger 2.3L
Jans: If memory serves me correct on a 4 banger the missing
tooth is 90 deg. before TDC. And CMP should cross at 22 deg.
after TDC. Something to consider before going much further.
Might want to look at oil pump timing marks.
