Is it the 2.2L L61 (ecotec) motor? If so the cause is lack of maint (oil changes) that causes the timing chain to stretch and jump. The valves will be bent, the valve guides broken, and you will be buying a new head to fix it. Might cost less to put a motor in... Login to read more.
