Re: The difference between Motronic and Trionic Saab ignition
The 900 (new body style, 94-98) is easy, just look at the
top of the engine. If it has a distributor, it is a
motronic. If it has a solid plate over the spark plug area
that says "Direct Ignition" on it, it is a trionic.
