I'm not a professional painter,but I've done quite a few. I have never done this on a basecoat/clearcoat paint. If you wet sand (color sand) the clear and buff it'll achieve the exact same results AFAIC. Ask your paint rep. I think what you're doing is giving... Login to read more.
