Hi Bob. I aggree that most coils fail hot and not cold. Thats why I asked about the other signals to and from PCM. It really sounds like an ignitor problem to me but I would check what the PCM is seeing from coolant temp sensor when cold. Is it close to ambien... Login to read more.
