Re: Alternator rectifier diodes integrity
If I remember correctly, in the diode test the voltmeter is reading the voltage in millivolts that it takes to make the diode conduct. Most automotive diodes are about 0.5 or 0.8. I'm not familiar with one that would read 2.5, but I suppose it is possible. Som... Login to read more. ![]()
