on the VCT pids, look at the "error" pids. Those will tell you if the "actual" PIDs are good in the eyes of the PCM. I'm not so sure dropping the exhaust is really a valid test anymore on a slightly restricted exhaust as I have seen many engines seem to loose ... Login to read more.
