I have the same truck, except it's a 94, and the engine is an old 5.7 TBI. I have the same problem,maybe not as bad. I'd be checking engine breathing under load. I'm doing mine this weekend as I have a hard time puling the 4k trailer I bought. Hills are Hell.... Login to read more.
