Running compression at idle is typically a bit less than about 1/2 of cranking compression. 60 to 75 PSI is a pretty good range. I do it with the schrader valve in the hose, start the engine and "burp" the gauge. It should achieve a maximum reading in about 8 ... Login to read more.
