The BARO is calculated using the MAF at WOT. The PCM knows how much air should be flowing given RPM and IAT. Comparing this to the MAF reading allows for adjustments resulting in a BARO calculation. Remember, a bad MAF, or air flow (restriction) issue... Login to read more.
