I wouldn't be surprised by a failed cam position sensor. I have replaced more than one of those sensors on 2.2 Rodeos for that DTC. It is probably an intermittent fault that occurs once the sensor warms up/cools off. Very hard to pinpoint. It sounds like you c... Login to read more.
