is this a TBI engine...regardless it SOUNDS as if you have a MAF not reporting correctly.( the MAF is on the throttle body on the TBI engines = hot wire bosch MAF like fords have ) @ WOT the PCM does go into open loop...ya need rich fuel mix for WOT Login to read more.
