I might be wrong, but I really attribute it to the synthetic oil. My Wife's 84 Riviera just turned 150K and when I did valve covers on it a few years ago it looked even cleaner than the S-10. It has also had Mobil 1 since its first oil change 24 years ... Login to read more.
