you need to replace the dist shaft,it is causing the your problem due to low rpm signal lost, you confirmed this by disconnecting the bypass which keeps idle above 550 to 600 rpms when bypass is hooked up the pcm try,s to adjust idle and will let it fall below... Login to read more.
