Something is likely shorting the PCM and "turning it off".

I'd wait 'till it quits and start unplugging stuff that has V-ref on it 'till you see the PCM wake up. Start with the CKP and CMP and then move on to sensors. I'd put a meter or scope on V-ref while ... Login to read more.
