Alldata has it confused with a 3.3. On a 90 degree v-6 such as the 3.3 or the 3.8, front cyls would be 1-3-5. On a 60 degree v-6, such as a 3.1, 1-3-5 are the rears. At least for most GM products. Login to read more.
